Italian cuisine is UNESCO Intangible Heritage

1

THE WELCOME

Welcome with a glass of Franciacorta

You arrive, and we welcome you just like family. You slip on your personalised apron and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine as you discover the kitchen — modern, elegant, yet with the soul of home.

2

HANDS ON

You really get to cook, with time-honoured gestures

You’ll knead, roll, chop, and stir. No watching demonstrations from the sidelines: here, you’re the star of the show. We’ll guide you step by step through recipes that Italian grandmothers have been passing down for generations.

3

NONNA'S SECRETS

Discover the tricks you won’t find in any cookbook

The right cooking time for ragù, the perfect texture for the dough, the precise gesture to seal a montanara. These are the little details only a nonna can teach you — and they make all the difference.

4

AT THE TABLE

Sit down and enjoy everything you’ve made

The best moment of all. We set the table, uncork the wine, sit down together, and enjoy what your own hands have created. Just like at home, but in one of the most beautiful settings on Lake Maggiore.

5

TAKE IT ALL HOME

More than memories: recipes, your apron, and limoncello too

You’ll leave with a recipe book, your personalised apron, a pasta cutter, and a certificate. But above all, you’ll leave with an experience you’ll want to tell everyone about.

Quality Over Quantity

It's not a class, it's home

No chef's hat in sight: just the warmth of a real Italian family, where we cook together and laugh a lot.

Maximum 12 guests

Small groups, real attention for everyone. No assembly lines here: every guest learns at their own pace.

Authentic recipes

No modern twists here: you'll cook the very same recipes Nonna Margherita made for her grandchildren, with the very same gestures.

On Lake Maggiore

The setting is part of the experience: you'll cook in a kitchen overlooking one of Italy's most breathtaking landscapes, in Baveno.

For every skill level

Never cooked before? Perfect. A passionate foodie? Even better. The experience is designed to delight everyone.

The Zacchera Tradition

Behind it all stands a family that has been welcoming guests to Lake Maggiore for generations, with excellence and passion.
Quality Over Quantity

I can't cook, Can I still join?

Absolutely! The experience is designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. We’ll guide you step by step, unhurried and with plenty of patience — just the way a nonna would.

How long does the experience last?

The full experience lasts around 3 to 4 hours, from the first preparations to the final tasting. This isn’t a rush job — take your time and savour every moment.

Can I bring the kinds?

Of course! Children love getting their hands in the dough — and we love having them. The experience is perfect for families and creates memories that will stay with you forever.

Are there options for food intolerances or allergies?

Yes, we can adapt the recipes to your needs. We just ask that you let us know about any intolerances or allergies when you book, so we can prepare everything accordingly.

Where exactly does it take place?

At the Margherita Club in Baveno, on Lake Maggiore. The kitchen is a modern, elegant space — yet with the warm, welcoming soul of a true Italian home kitchen.

Can I give the experience as a gift?

It’s one of the most loved gift ideas! Get in touch and we’ll arrange a personalized voucher for an experience they’ll never forget
